The tenth anniversary of the first service of the Wheatland Parish was last Saturday, July 20. Below is a poem my wife, Wanda, wrote for the occasion.
WHEATLAND AT TEN!
Ten years done
Wheatland Parish as one
With Pastors Gary, Susie, and Don
Then we came along
Gettysburg, Onida, and Agar
Each one is a star
A three-point charge
Is not too small or too large
Every Sunday on Highway 83
Lots of pheasants and deer to see
With a handshake when through
And a “How do you do?”
Through the parish the word is spoken
A strand of three cords can't be broken
With many years to come
Serving God with joy and fun.
